The franc is the currency of both Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Its name in the four official languages of Switzerland is Franken (German), franc (French and Rhaeto-Romanic), and franco (Italian).
The kroon was reintroduced as Estonia's currency in 1992, replacing the Soviet ruble. In 2004 Estonia joined the ERM2, the EU's exchange rate mechanism. The kroon is pegged to the Euro at 1 € = 15.6466 Krooni.
